For an organisation which was founded on a commitment to education, the Non-Formal Education Programme is the core of Amba Foundation’s work. Under this, we seek to provide holistic development of children in the age group of 4 to 15 years.

Over the years, Amba Foundation has provided basic education and educational support to more than 2000 such children, with the aim of integrating them into mainstream education. These efforts have been particularly attentive to the need for making the learning process enjoyable and holistic. As a result, dance, drama, art, craft and computer literacy have been weaved into the education programme.

This has also been recognized by prestigious national and international organisations, such as the YWCA Yuva Utsav, Habitat Learning Centre of the India Habitat Centre and the British Council.

A most outstanding demonstration of the success of the education programme is the fact that some of the children who studied at Amba Foundation are now associated with the Organisation in the capacity of peer educators or workers under various programmes.
